Dr. Kirk Durston – Ph.D. (Biophysics)

Dr. Durston is an apologist with Power2Change and spends his time writing and speaking about the interaction of science, theology and philosophy within the context of authentic Christianity.  He is a popular speaker on university campuses across Canada.  You can read Kirk’s blog called, “Quest” here: https://www.kirkdurston.com/blog

At RA2019, he will be answering the question, “How can there be a good God when there is so much suffering and evil in the world?”

Dr. Scott Stripling – D.Min (Leadership)

Dr. Stripling is an archaeologist with the Associates for Biblical Research (BibleArchaeology.org) and the Provost of The Bible Seminary in Katy, TX.  He is on the Board of the Near East Archaeological Society and serves as Director of Excavations for ABR’s dig at Shiloh.  In the past he has served as Field Supervisor of the Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project in Jordan from 2005 to 2010, Director of the Khirbet el-Maqatir excavation since 2014, and a Supervisor of the Jerusalem Temple Mount Salvage Project in Israel. He is also the author of The Trowel and the Truth: A Guide to Field Archaeology in the Holy Land.

At RA2019, he will be answering the question, “Isn’t the Bible full of myths and mistakes?”

Dr. Jim Mason – Ph.D. (Experimental Nuclear Physics)

Dr. Mason has served as speaker with Creation Ministries International (Creation.com) since his retirement from industry.  For 37 years he worked for one of Canada’s major defence electronics system integration companies.  During his career, Dr. Mason held positions in software engineering, system engineering, program management and line management, including VP Engineering and Chief Technology Officer responsible for research and development. He served for several years on the company’s Executive Committee.

At RA2019, he will be answering the question, “Hasn’t science disproved Christianity?”

Tim Barnett – M.A. (Philosophy)

Tim is a speaker with Stand To Reason (STR.org), an apologetics ministry that trains Christians to think more clearly about their faith and to make an even-handed, incisive, yet gracious defense for classical Christianity and classical Christian values in the public square. Tim has worked as a professional teacher since 2008, employed in both the private and public sector and serves on the pastoral staff at Cedarview Community Church.

At RA2019, Tim will be speaking on both Friday night and Saturday.  He will be answering the questions, “How can you believe the New Testament is true?” and “Did Jesus really rise from the dead?”

Logan Gates – M.A. (Theology)

Logan is an apologist with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, Canada.  He travels across the country speaking at universities and churches.  His passion is help others encounter God by exploring the big questions in life. He lives in Toronto where he loves to surf, drink tea, and cook with his lovely new bride, Samantha.  Logan was one of the speakers at RA2018 and his presentations were so well received, particularly by the teens, that we’ve invited him back again for this year’s conference.

At RA2019, Logan will be speaking on both Friday night and Saturday.  He will be answering the questions, “Who is Jesus? Man, Myth or More?” and “How Can Christianity Be True and Other Religions False?”
